Jackson State coach Deion Sanders offers to help Alcorn State secure athletic trainers

Jackson State football trainer Deion Sanders intends to aid an in-state competitor. Sanders supplied his help to get the Alcorn State football program some athletic fitness instructors during Monday's Southwestern Athletic Conference call. "I can obtain them (some fitness instructors)," Sanders said. "I'm not attempting to (belittle them), but that's telephone call, male. I mean, I wish we have the connection that we could call each other, due to the fact that, how many medical facilities we have below in the city? I guarantee, I would've done it myself, sent you several trainers back since those youngsters are worthy of to get down, they should have to play. We can't practice? Due to the fact that the instructors? Like, please."

The Braves missed 2 days of method last week as a result of not having available fitness instructors on school, supposedly due to COVID-19-related concerns.

"You need to have a qualified sports trainer on school in the building to do these points, and also we didn't have one,"Alcorn State trainer Fred McNair said on his radio show last week."That's such a frustrating thing to me that we're refraining from doing a sufficient task to bring in somebody of our own to be a sports instructor at Alcorn State College."

Alcorn State has no full time instructors on personnel as well as have used part-time instructors this period. Despite missing out on both days of method, the Braves nearly dismayed South Alabama, which competes in the Football Dish Class, 28-21. On Monday, McNair stated his players missed possibilities to problem without the practices.

"My sibling McNair, which's a darn great trainer," Sanders said. "That's a darn excellent, shoot, great team. Guy, my bro McNair, if you can hit me now, if you have a trouble call me. If I can assist, I'm going to help. Right away. This is bigger than the little rivalry. This is about these kids, man. And I got love for that brother. He's an excellent guy."

Jackson State as well as Alcorn State have among the fiercest competitions in Mississippi, known as The Heart Dish. This season's Soul Bowl is set to occur at on Nov. 20 in Mississippi Veterans Memorial Arena to shut the regular period.

Sanders claimed when Southern Miss hired his kid Shedeur in secondary school, he participated in USM's video game against Alcorn State as well as spoke to McNair and the Braves in the storage locker area after the game because he recognized exactly how great the program was in the SWAC.

Sanders said Alcorn's absence of trainers was not McNair's fault.
